Dr Shashi Sharma is a renowned Eye Surgeon and Retina Specialist based in Lucknow. Having completed his MBBS, he went on to pursue MS (Ophthalmology) from the prestigious King George's Medical University,
Lucknow. He then obtained his DNB (Diplomate of National Board)
followed by a fellowship in Phacoemulsification & IOL and another in
Vitreo-Retina from the  Venu Eye Institute and Research centre, Delhi.  
He is a Cataract surgery specialist, having carried out hundreds of them while serving with various institutes. He is well trained in managing complex Cataract diseases, Retinal disorders like Diabetic Retinopathy,
Age Related Macular Degeneration, Vein Occlusion, Retinal detachment and Retinopathy of Prematurity. He is especially proficient in managing Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
He has worked as the Clinical Incharge and Head (Vitreo-Retina Services) at various institutes like ASG Eye Hospital (Varanasi), EyeQ Superspeciality Hospital (Lucknow & Kanpur). He is a visiting consultant for
the Lifeline Hospital, Sohar and Burjheel Medical Centre, Muscat, Oman.
